Global English Camp

SBI's Global English Camp (GEC) integrates English language study with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) components and children and young teenagers participate in a range of fun, educational and practical activities which are supported by parallel ESL lessons at each students’ English proficiency level.

SBI's camps provide children with the opportunity to develop English language skills in an immersion environment with co-students from countries as diverse as South Korea, Indonesia, France, Italy and Kazakhstan. The primary aim of the camp is for students to build confidence and fluency in the English language and to maximize practical opportunities to use target vocabulary and language points.

Kids will be encouraged to speak English throughout the camp and in addition to this they will develop a range of new skills in areas such as science, technology, engineering and art.

Twice a week students enjoy outside activities and outings to places of interest and these include:

• Surfing lessons
• Snorkeling
• Turtle release
• Coral Reef Center
• Pottery Painting
• Bird watching
• Bali Zoo / Bali Bird Park

Students will study in small groups of up to 12 students per class, with each learning group led by an experienced and qualified native-speaker teacher and one support assistant.

The main objectives of the camp are as follows:

• Improve students’ communication skills in English
• Engage students in design and engineering challenges
• Develop students’ curiosity and critical thinking skills
• Encourage relationship building with peers
• Develop kinesthetic skills
• Introduce kids to the amazing island and culture of Bali 

this summer our Global English Camps will run in two locations - in Jimbaran, on the Bukit Peninsula in Bali and in the family friendly resort town of Kata beach, Phuket, Thailand. 

Global English Camp 1 will run from 24th July to 11th August and will be based at Four Points By Sheraton, Jimbaran, Bali and a second Bali camp will run in the same location from 14th August to 25th August.

SBI's Global English Summer Camp in Phuket will be held at the family friendly Pamookkoo resort in Kata beach and will run from 14th to 25th August.

Week 1 = 14th August to 18th August 2023

Week 2 = 21st August to 25th August 2023

Phuket Global English Autumn Camp 2023

Week 1 = 25th September to 29th September 2023

Week 2 = 2nd October to 6th October 2023

Available for children 5 - 13 years of age
