The Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran is the host accommodation venue for Global English Camp families and this 5-star resort is just 3 minutes by shuttle from SBI.
The Movenpick Resort & Spa is a tropical haven in the heart of Jimbaran with a large, child-friendly swimming pool and the beach is accessible via a short 3-minute walk from the back of the resort.
The resort kids’ club is an expansive exploration and play area and is open to 6pm daily, providing parents with additional child-minding options after the daily camp check out. Parents can also take advantage of the luxury spa at Movenpick and enjoy a 10% discount with their SBI VIP card.
The resort is located next to the popular Samasta Mall, and this allows families easy walking access to a range of different restaurants, cafés and shops situated inside this open-air mall. Many of these restaurants, including Magal Korean BBQ, also provide VIP discounts to SBI Global English Camp families.

SBI Learning Resort and Camp Education Facilities
SBI’s Learning Resort, just 3 minutes by shuttle from the Movenpick Resort and Spa, is the hub for all camp education programmes. Camp classes take place at SBI's primary school campus, adjacent to the adult English campus.
Purpose-built classrooms enable collaborative learning, while STEAM activities occur in a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces, including the school's courtyard and the resort’s green areas.
SBI's school cafe provides a daily buffet lunch for students with healthy, culturally suitable options and fresh fruit. Parents can also select a light English study programme and join mixed-nationality English classes with SBI’s adult students.

Weekly Themes
Week 1: Sustainability week
During the first week of the camp, students focus on the topic of sustainability and language instruction and STEAM projects are connected to this theme. Students learn new language in English classes delivered by native speakers and activate new vocabulary in activities such as hydroponic farming, constructing waterway trash barriers and developing mini 'ecosytems in a bottle'
This week also sees students create their batik design t-shirts, enjoy pizza-making sessions and take part in a student sports day. Outings during week 1 are all ocean-based, giving the students a great opportunity to have fun in Bali's amazing ocean environment and enjoy ocean canoeing and hit the waves for surf lessons led by private instructors.
Week 2: Eco-Adventure Week
Eco-adventure week sees students develop language skills connected to this theme and work in teams to complete a series of STEAM projects, which include building a life raft, a DIY compass and designing a wind turbine.
In this week of the camp, students enjoy a beach scavenger hunt, a fun and educational outing to a chocolate factory, as well as ocean snorkelling. This week allows students to explore Bali, develop new skill sets and engage in challenges in real-world settings.
Week 3: The Wonders of Nature Week
Week 3 of the camp sees our young campers continue to build their English and teamwork skills and further learn about the wonders of nature. This week of the camp, students get hands-on with STEAM projects, including a volcano construction and explosion experiment, constructing parachutes and building a barometer to measure air pressure.
Outings in week 3 see students visit Bali Bird Park to learn about and document the birds of the world and enjoy an amazing free flight bird show. This week also sees students take the waves again for a second round of surf lessons at Jimbaran beach.
Week 4: Social Enterprise Week
In the final week of the camp, international campers merge with kids from SBI's primary school, Jimbaran Junior Academy, and learn the language of business through designing products and marketing campaigns for the SBI Camp Kids Market Bazaar.
Throughout the week, students build language skills connected to marketing and finance work in teams to develop products and strategies that will come to life at the camp bazaar.
Outings in week 4 include an outing to Jenggala Pottery Factory where students learn about the process of making pottery and paint their own ceramic mug. Young campers also enjoy an outing to the Ayung river for a child-friendly rafting outing.

Surf Lessons
Students enjoy beginner-friendly surfing lessons at Jimbaran beach, one of the best spots in Bali for learning to surf. Most participants successfully ride waves on the first day.
Jenggala Pottery Painting
Students travel to the famous Jenggala Ceramic Center to learn about the process of making high quality pottery and then paint a pottery of item of their own choice.
Snorkelling Excursion
Students snorkel in the Indian Ocean, exploring vibrant sea life with safety measures in place, including life jackets and a dedicated safety team.
Chocolate Factory Tour
A visit to Jungle Gold Chocolate Factory allows students to learn the chocolate-making process and create their own chocolate bar to take home.
Bali Bird Park
Students explore Bali Bird Park, participating in a bird race, enjoying spectacular shows, and experiencing the Cinematic Migration Experience.
Thursday Camp BBQ Dinner and Class Performances
The camp BBQ dinner includes delicious food and entertainment in the SBI Learning Garden. Students perform songs and dances, and shuttle service is provided for all camp families.
Parents' Activities:
Parents on the Global English Camp receive an option of either English classes or Yoga classes and these activities are included in the camp package.
